Initialize IBM TSM 5.5 Server:

1- Select Start => All programs => Tivoli Storage Manager => Management Console

2- Choose standard configuration => hit start to do the Define environment setup & answer the questions of the wizard

3- After the define environment setup finish just hit start again to do the rest of the wizards (Configure performance – Server Initialization – Configure Devices – Configure Nodes) and answer the questions according to your environment.

Just watching the small video below after each section, or read the article below. Ah should I make this video training to be a paid one!!! Should it cost $$$$? Just a thought. TSM is the primary backup & data management solution used into the enterprise today. TSM has a tough competition in the SMB mainly due to its cost, as its an enterprise solution. In the other hand, its a clear winner when it come to the enterprise for many reasons just summarizing few of them below:
